Privacy policy
Last updated 21 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information ProGas247 Ltd collects, why, who we share it with and your rights. We only collect what we need to quote for, carry out and support the work you ask us to do.
Who we are
ProGas247 Ltd (trading as ProGas247) is the data controller for your personal information. We are registered in England & Wales, company no.14218961. Our business address is Frederick Rd, Birmingham B6 6DE.
Questions about your data: email [email protected]or call +44 (0)7575 850410.
What we collect
- Quote requests and enquiries — your name, email address, phone number, the service you're interested in and anything you tell us about the job (which may include your address or postcode).
- Calls, WhatsApp messages and emails — your contact details and what you tell us.
- Customers — your name, the address where we work, contact details, details of the property and the appliances and systems we work on, records of the work we carry out (including gas safety records), quotes, invoices and payments.
- Job applicants — the information you send us, such as your CV, qualifications and contact details.
We don't ask for special category data (such as health information). If you tell us something like this because it affects the job — for example, a vulnerable person in the home who needs heating restored urgently — we use it only for that purpose.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote — steps you've asked us to take before entering a contract.
- To carry out, invoice and support the work — performing our contract with you.
- To meet our legal obligations — for example gas safety regulations, Building Regulations notifications and tax and accounting records.
- To run our business safely — handling complaints, warranty or insurance claims and protecting our legal rights (our legitimate interests).
- To consider a job application — steps before a possible contract of employment or engagement.
We do not send marketing emails or texts, and we never sell your information.
Who we share it with
We share only what's needed, with:
- Service providers who process data for us — Cloudflare (hosts this website and processes the quote form), Resend (delivers quote form submissions to our inbox) and Microsoft (our email provider).
- Gas Safe Register — when we install a gas appliance such as a boiler, we are required to notify the work. Gas Safe Register then informs your local authority and sends you a Building Regulations compliance certificate.
- Manufacturers — to register a product warranty for you, where you've asked us to.
- Our accountants, insurers and professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, Facebook, TikTok or Google, those platforms also process your information under their own privacy policies.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process data outside the UK (for example in the United States). Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK–US data bridge.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work: 12 months.
- Customer, job and invoice records: at least 6 years, to meet tax and accounting rules.
- Gas safety and installation records: 6 years.
- Job applications: 6 months.
Cookies and this website
We don't use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't run third-party tracking scripts. If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your own browser (local storage) so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device.
Like all web hosts, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Links to Google, Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp take you to sites with their own policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you
- have inaccurate information corrected
- have information deleted, where we don't need to keep it by law
- restrict or object to how we use it
- receive your information in a portable format
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details above. We'll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) atico.org.ukor on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if the way we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
